CARDEA ACADEMY supports professional development of Research Managers by offering open-access online training resources. The training is delivered by experienced Research Managers who lead training initiatives in their respective areas.
TRAINING MODULES OBJECTIVES
TARGET LEARNERS
The primary audience of CARDEA training modules are RM1 – First-Stage Research Managers (newcomers to the profession), as defined by the CARDEA Profile Framework for Research Manager Careers (RM1-RM2). However, CARDEA training modules bring benefit to senior staff as well or anyone else interested in a particular aspect of the research management profession.
CONTENT
CARDEA training modules provide a comprehensive core learning common to all categories of Research Managers. The content aligns with the learning outcomes defined by the CARDEA RM Comp Framework. TRAINING FORMAT
The training consists of free, pre-recorded lessons, ensuring flexibility and inclusivity. Learners can access the modules on-demand without registration, travel, or accommodation costs. The lessons are organized in 17 modules, conducted in English and last approximately two hours per module. Each module is divided into multiple sub-videos. After module completition, learners can complete a short survey rating the modules.
CERTIFICATION
The CARDEA Hub tracks learners’ progress to monitor full completion of the modules. Participants who complete all CARDEA training modules can receive CARDEA micro-credential and open badge, free of charge, awarded by the University of Macerata. Discover how.
